World Organisation of Digestive Endoscopy

Partnership with WGO-OMGE

OMED has been in negotiation with Eamonn Quigley, the new President of WGO-OMGE, and his team in order to establish a formal partnership

OMED has been in negotiation with Eamonn Quigley, the new President of WGO-OMGE, and his team in order to establish a formal partnership. We believe that we can do more for gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy by working together than by pursuing our activities separately. We will continue the joint projects that we have with them already. These include the Train the Trainers initiative, the Training Centres and Guidelines.

OMED and the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO-OMGE) have partnered in a strategic alliance over the past years. Plans are underway to expand on the joint activities which include the collaboration on the training centers, the Train the Trainers Workshop, the World Gastroenterology News publication, the Outreach programme, joint practice guidelines etc. In particular, the collaboration on the world congresses has been ongoing and the planned joint meeting with the UEGF in London in 2009 will follow along these lines of collaboration.
