Review of World Congress 2005

The Congress was a great success for OMED. The input of our Canadian colleagues under the leadership of Richard Fedorak and Bob Bailey was exceptional. The endoscopy programme was outstanding. Live endoscopy was transmitted each day from Norman Marcon's unit in Toronto and a session was also transmitted from Hong Kong. OMED therefore had a full day of endoscopy on each day of the Congress; mainly live demonstrations together with lectures and videos. For much of the time the large, 3,000 person room provided for OMED was almost full. Our congratulations go to Norman Marcon and the faculty that did such a wonderful job.
