General information about OMED Endoscopy Directors’ Workshops

Most sizeable hospitals provide a digestive endoscopy service which is usually under the clinical direction of a gastroenterologist. This clinician often has little experience of management but is expected to oversee a safe, effective and profitable service covering a wide range of endoscopic procedures. Few have experience in ordering equipment, in credentialing or financial management. There is a need for basic courses aimed towards endoscopy directors in order to provide didactic instruction and to share experience.
