2nd European Symposium on Ethics in Gastroenterology & Digestive Endoscopy Kos, Greece, July 2006
Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy is one of the most flourishing specialities of Medicine due to the impressive progress that has been made in diagnosing and treating many gastrointestinal diseases. In view of the growing complexity of ethics in gastroenterology, digestive endoscopy, clinical practice and research, in 2002 the 1st European Symposium on Ethics was organised, which was a success and resulted in publication of guidelines in "Endoscopy" and lectures and round tables in "Digestive Diseases".
The organisers, Professor Spiros Ladas and Professor Carol Stanciu, conducted the successful "2nd European Symposium on Ethics in Gastroenterology & Digestive Endoscopy", which was held on Kos, the native island of Hippocrates, from 6-8 of July 2006.
The scientific program included working group sessions, lectures and debates on hot topics on ethics in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, dealing with several ethical issues in your own clinical practice and research.
